I received my Acupuncture degree from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute). I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Oriental Medicine, which includes a Certification in Chinese Herbs as well as coursework in the application of integrative medicine. I am passionate about using my education to benefit my clients, bridging the gap between the Western model of healthcare and the empowerment of Chinese medicine. In the treatment room, I utilize acupuncture, acupressure and tui na techniques, Chinese herbs, moxibustion, gua sha, cupping, lifestyle coaching and Chinese dietary counseling to help clients learn how to heal themselves. Even with complicated and/or chronic situations, I believe that working with the body’s natural wisdom is the most profound way to engender true well-being.

My primary working style is Kiiko Matsumotos Japanese style of acupuncture. In addition, I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Physical Medicine, which includes myofascial and trigger point release techniques. I utilizes all three of these styles in my practice. I also have a passion for Auricular therapy. It intrigues me how everything in our bodies is reflected in our ears. I have also studied Reiki and I utilize that in my daily practice.

Andre is practicing Classical Chinese Medicine, which is a lineage-based system of Acupuncture and Chinese herbs. A unique feature of this style of medicine is understanding of the pathogenic progression and transformation, which allows a clinician to address not only a clinical manifestation of a problem at hand, but also to treat the causative factor of the disease, as well as to prevent future complications.
