Therapies in her acupuncture scope of practice include: needling, moxibustion, cupping, guasha and acupoint vibration therapy. Moxibustion is the use of the herb mugwort which is lit and used to warm and heal. Cupping uses suction cups along acupuncture meridians or areas of tension to release muscle constraint and stress. Guasha is the use of a jade stone rubbed along the surface of the skin to stimulate that area and initiate healing. And acupoint vibration therapy is the use of tuning forks carrying vibrations through acupuncture points to stimulate the area and allow for healing and growth.
